Why getting up early is the ultimate life hack

Get up early.

Right now I’m up writing this at 6:30 AM. I slept in today.

A few weeks ago I woke up early by accident. Four-thirty AM my eyes popped open and I couldn’t go back to sleep.

So I just decided to get up. I drank some tea, did a bit of work, and then went to the gym at 6am. I worked out, shot some basketball, and came home and did some stretching. All before 7:30am.

I accomplished more of my goals before 7:30 than I used to achieve all day.

When I didn’t wake up early I was rushed

My previous schedule:

I’d wake up at 7-7:30am
Rush to get ready for work.
Work all day.
By the time I got home, I was tired and hungry, and I would sit on the couch and watch Netflix.
Sometimes I would go work out.

You will adjust

If you force yourself to wake up early and get up, you’ll see huge results. Your body will quickly adjust. If you need 8 hours of sleep a night, you will get tired earlier. Go to sleep earlier.

What I found was that the time I was spending from 9-11 PM was usually wasted in front of the TV anyway.

But the time from 5–7 AM is hyper-focused on goals and important work. My mind is sharp.
