Time. It’s our most coveted resource because of its scarcity. In an effort to falsely gain time during the day we rush through tasks, projects, and our lives. But we cannot be fully present to life or to our craft when we rush. We can lose our vision and clarity for success. In reactive mindsets, goals blur. We get sloppy.
Rushing hinders our capacity to be intellectually and emotionally available, and capture the opportunities that surface in the present moment. When we slow down and move through our activity with greater mindfulness we are more likely to act with the full power available to us in the present moment. Read more

“I am learning the art of patience…it has taken me 49 years to figure out that things don’t always happen on the one year plan.”
I am amazed at how a simple reflection, realized only in the past couple of weeks but emerging in my consciousness over the past few years, has become one of the most significant aha moments of my life. The power of patience, I’ve come to understand, is part of transition, a significant by-product of what we do to transform our lives and ourselves when we know we are on the threshold of change.

How Can I Change My Mindset?
Many of us stunt our growth and stop ourselves from getting what we want by having a fixed mindset. We have that voice in our heads that we listen to that tells us that we can’t do something, that something is impossible, or that we do not have the skills to achieve something. This kind of thinking is simply not true, and it keeps us stuck. We all want things, but to get them, we have to believe in our ability to accomplish the steps it takes to get them. We have to change our thinking from “I can’t” to “of course I can.” What we believe, we can achieve, and we can. It is like the famous saying, “Whether you tell yourself you can, or you tell yourself you can’t, you’re right.” Read more
We are sometimes overwhelmed and stressed by different tasks that all need to be accomplished. Having a To-Do list and planning ahead has proven to be an effective method of accomplishing the different tasks that burden us, as well as keeping an eye on what we need to do and what we have already done.
Most people who use To-Do lists do not accomplish much because they fail to create an effective list.
An effective To-Do list is made up of specific elements, which changes it from a simple list of tasks to accomplish, into a powerful time management tool. Read more
I have always found the process of setting goals to be really easy, but if I’m honest with myself I don’t tend to excel at sticking to them. I don’t think I’m alone in this department. If this resonates with you too, you might find these simple ways to stick to your goals as interesting and helpful as I do. As you’ll see, staying on track with goals is just as much about the process of goal setting (doing so in the right way) as it is about the process of achieving them. Read more
If you are like most people, one of the biggest reasons you haven’t yet achieved the success you desire is because you are not disciplined. In this age of instant gratification, we are accustomed to getting what we want right NOW. The thought of working diligently on a goal for weeks, months, or even years is a little depressing. Before his voyage home, Ulysses is warned about the irresistible and deadly call of the Sirens. Countless sailors before him had fallen prey to their seductive song and drowned as a result.
